Job Description: Web Developer
We are looking for a full-time developer to join our team. This is predominantly a back-end developer role, but ideally we are looking for someone who can also do front-end work. We are looking for certain personal attributes such as self-motivation, creativity, determination, positivity and most importantly, problem solving! We are a small team, so we all need to get on!
Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who is educated to degree level in a relevant subject (e.g. Computer Science or Web Development) or has equivalent qualifications. Previous professional experience isn’t a necessity, but we are looking for someone who meets the following requirements.
We work with many platforms and technologies so the person we are looking for should have at least some experience of:
- PHP and MySQL
- Good understanding of Relational Database Systems
- Git source control
- HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap
It is important to us that the person who joins our team knows how to use code in an innovative way and who is focused on solutions, not problems. The ideal candidate will constantly be learning and sees coding as more than just their job.
Other experience that we are looking for is the ability to do front-end as well as back-end development.
Examples of this would include:
- React Native
We are a small company of five, covering a wide range of digital services including web, graphics, mobile and bespoke systems. We are hiring as old clients keep coming back and new ones are calling up every day. We appreciate the business, but in order to keep providing an amazing service, need to take someone else on.
While most of us are based in our office in Coggeshall, Essex, we do offer the flexibility of working from wherever you would like in the UK at least one day a week. We are also open to requests for flexible working hours. All we ask is that you get your work done by the deadline we set.
In return for what you can offer us, we will reward you with challenging projects, support and other perks including bonuses. There are also opportunities to work on non-client projects – if there is something you are interested in and want to learn about or create, then we would love to do this with you.
The annual salary for the role is £22,000 - £30,000. This is dependent on experience.
If you would like to apply for this position, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. We would be grateful if you could include your CV, any relevant links, a bit about yourself and why you would be great for the job.
