Job Description: Freelance or full-time developer
We are looking for a freelance or full-time developer to join our team. This is predominantly a back-end developer role, but ideally we are looking for someone who can also do front-end work. We are looking for certain personal attributes such as self-motivation, creativity, determination and positivity. We are a small team, so we all need to get on!
Skills and experience
The role we are looking for is flexible to a certain extent. If you are a freelancer and want to maintain your independence, then this could work. However if you want the security of a full-time job, we are also open to this. For us, it is about hiring the right person.
We work with many platforms and technologies so the person we are looking for must have experience of:
PHP and MySQL
Good understanding of Relational Database Systems
- Git source control
We also require someone who has experience of using channels such as Trello and Slack.
We want someone who knows how to use code in an innovative way and who is focused on solutions, not problems. The ideal candidate will constantly be learning and sees coding as more than just their job.
Other experience that we are looking for is the ability to do front-end as well as back-end development.
Examples of this would include:
- HTML5, CSS3 and Bootstrap
- React Native
We are a small company of four, covering a wide range of digital services including web, graphics, mobile and bespoke systems. We are hiring as old clients keep coming back and new ones are calling up every day. We appreciate the business, but in order to keep providing an amazing service, need to take someone else on.
In return for what you can offer us, we will reward you with challenging projects, support and other perks including bonuses. There are also opportunities to work on non-client projects – if there is something you are interested in and want to learn about or create, then we would love to do this with you. While most of us are based in Essex, we don’t have an office so offer the flexibility of working from wherever you would like in the UK. We do regular catch ups and meet ups, but mostly online so this might not be for you if you want a busy office-based environment.
If you would like to apply for this position please send an email to [email protected]. We would be grateful if you could include your CV, any relevant links, a bit about yourself and why you would be great for the job.
We kindly ask that candidates only reply or enquire about this job listing - we have no interest working with recruiters or third party companies and will not reply to any queries calling on behalf of individuals.
