We’d like to introduce you to our recent starter: Chris

Chris is a graduate from Essex University, where he undertook a Computer Science degree. We wanted to find out a little more about him, so we decided to sit him down for a round of quick-fire questions.

Tell us about your working life to date… how did you end up here at WCD?

Before WCD I had been a full-time student whilst working. I have always been into creative design, my passion is capturing visual experiences on both paper and screen. Working at WCD will help me to better my skills when developing applications professionally. I pride myself in implementing creative and innovative solutions within every project so that I can meet the demands of clients.

There was not enough emphasis on web modules in my course so any additional skills I have been found during my spare time before moving into my final year.

What website would be on your bucket list to create at some point?

I’m always concerned about my day-to-day achievements, so having the ability to organise my material is very important to me. Too often find myself searching for resources that would benefit solving problems, therefore I’d like to build a single application where I can record notes, make plans, reminders and write a blog.

Windows or Mac?

Personally, my preferences lie with Windows as I’m not all too familiar with Mac. Although, having worked on Macs with the time I have been at WCD the benefits are blatantly apparent.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I have had many hobbies in the past, I am a keen fitness fanatic and have picked up anything involving creativity such as playing the piano or drawing.

Favourite sports team/film/band?

Hard to say! I’m always the first one to see any film in the cinema; any Tim Burton film will do me just fine. As a 90s kid, anything considered old fashioned I’m more than likely to have listened to, so I’d say Muse or Gorillaz.
